Centers of Ministry

RESOURCE MINISTRIES

The church is people who choose to organize themselves together. As such, the church, as an organization, benefits from the use of well thought out administration, property management, care of personnel and financial matters, and resource support of the people and programs of the church. As such, these necessary responsibilities become ministries in themselves.

LINK MINISTRIES
When the first church came together in Jerusalem in response to the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the Bible says the people responded in this way: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42 (NIV)” We still come together for learning, fellowship, and fostering connections through small groups, all opportunities to link ourselves together in Christian love and mutual commitment to Jesus Christ.

CARE MINISTRIES
God cared enough to send the very best—Jesus Christ. In response, we care. We care for the community in which we live. We show our care by befriending individuals who come our way, by joining the network of caring organizations, by highlighting caring opportunities, and by organizing caring events. Care extends beyond our local community when we support outreach efforts through our denomination and in other ways that extend globally, occasionally getting involved onsite through participation in mission trips. Yet we know that caring begins at home. That is why we offer many forms of pastoral care, including our universal arm of caring, our shepherding program.

NEW LIFE MINISTRIES
From the very beginning, in response to the good news—the gospel of Jesus Christ, people have come together in worship such that worship remains the central element of our communal Christianity. Likewise, from the beginning, the church has provided the means by which individuals are confronted with the message of the gospel, causing their lives to be changed forever as a consequence of their encounter with the risen Lord . Worship has always been central to this life change. Once convicted, our hearts compel us to respond, not only in praise and thanksgiving in worship, but also in our desire to take action through learning, Christian fellowship and service. New life is inviting, worshiping and challenging.
